    Currie & Brown is currently looking for a construction expeditor for our Tacoma, WA office. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.


    Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:


    • Managing materials and supply orders to ensure all supplies fit the parameters of the project
    • Maintaining relationships with material providers, placing orders as necessary and ensuring materials get to job sites at the intended times for work to commence on schedule
    • Communicating with sub-contractors to provide dates and time periods of required services
    • Ensuring materials and crew arrive on time and complete their work efficiently
    • Interacting with project team to coordinate supply delivery and to schedule sub-contractors
    • Supporting the procurement of goods and services related to capital equipment, facility repairs, maintenance and construction for large data center projects
    • Collaborating and supporting project management team and other cross-functional teams to understand needs and upcoming requirements
    • Acting as liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement-related problems
    • Developing influential and positive stakeholder relationships across the group
    • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships




    • Degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering or related field
    • A minimum of five years’ experience in a construction expediting role or similar role in the construction industry
    • Strong technical knowledge of equipment, tooling and engineering disciplines within the construction industry
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
    • Experience and understanding of risk management tools and techniques
    • Technical competency in Microsoft Office suite and other procurement software
    • Good technical writing and client-facing skills
    • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
    • A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
